Allemansrätten, or the Right of Public Access, is one of the unique joys of Sweden. It allows anyone to roam freely in the countryside, swim and travel by boat in someone else’s waters and pick mushrooms and berries in the forest.

A new knife for Sweden!

Well, as the prospect of less driving & more flying (with Ryanair, the airline where you pay extra for hold baggage) looming I decided to put some of my "pocket money" to good use & treat myself to a new knife to keep at Munch's Hideaway!
I looked at several knives & eventually decided on a Karesuando Boar.

Those of you who have met me will know that I am a leftie which can pose the odd problem in life, I also like my knife to be housed in a left-handed sheath. So, as I had some Birthday money from my parents (thanks Mum & Dad) I went onto BushcraftUK & looked up Luckylee - a fine craftsman who does amazing leather work. He asked me to send him the knife to make sure the left-handed sheath he would make was a perfect fit. I sent the knife to him on Thursday & both knife & sheath arrived this morning (Saturday). The sheath is superb & the service amazing, I'd recommend him to anyone.
